As our Country, South Africa and most of the world experience the measures and impacted of Lockdown during the Corona pandemic, we take a walk down memory lane to showcase the Village of Wilderness, one of the 3 sisters of the city of George on the Garden Route in the Western Cape.

The village is a all year long destination, spring to summer, perfect for swimming, careless beach life, windsurfing and abseiling to name a few. Winter is cozy with long beach walks and a wide variety of other attraction's and activities.

Village life is upbeat and trendy. Many resturant, bistros and coffee spots to choose from. Friday night market's and nightly live music. Order a picnic, take a drive to The Map of Africa or rent a bicycle or scooter and head into any direction.

Good to know that Wildernesss beach also carry the enviromental status as one of the Blue Flag beaches on the Garden Route.

Whale season yearly between June and August as the whale travek towards Hermanus. Highly recommended and endless accommodation types to choose from.
